About
Surviving the Now is by and for Canadians. We deserve a voice unmanipulated by the algorithm. A country must be strong in order to support everyone. By providing original articles and opinions, this site hopes to provoke thoughts and questions that help other Canadians make good decisions during the pivotal coming months and years.
Who We Are
We are working Canadians: Coming from middle class backgrounds, looking to create generational wealth through career building and sound investment
We believe in tolerance: We are live-and-let-live people and believe a strong country supports people of all identities. Do you, 24/7
We are not seeking investment: There is no VC-backed agenda. Our engineering team is part of the core volunteer group
We are not aligned with any party: We make decisions based on facts, and usually vote for whoever appears to be the best choice with a healthy degree of reluctance
We are not jingoistic: We live here and want the opportunity to build a good life. We have no political aspirations
We want to get past Canadian tropes: Overuse of the flag, quippy alliteration and calling various politicians dumb just get in the way of navigating for solutions
We will get it wrong: We're just people. Help us own up to our errors and we'll admit them when we do
